Updated 7/24/15
Flow in the Big Quilcene River, at about a third of normal for this time of the year, continues to
slowly decline. Water drawn from Lords Lake reservoir continues to augment water diverted
from the Big Quilcene River to fulfill municipal and industrial needs of the community. City water
use averaged 1,417,000 gallons over past seven days, 227,000 gallons more than the previous
week. The City is asking our customers to voluntarily conserve water and minimize outdoor
watering now. A Drought Response Plan was adopted by City Council at the July 201h council
meeting and can be viewed at

Avoid hand washing your dirty dishes, and run only full loads in your dishwasher and washing
machine.
