Project Description: This Contract provides for the improvement of approximately 2,500 ft. of sidewalk on both sides
of Sheridan St. between 14th St. and 191h St.; single sidewalk along 16th St. and 17th St. between Grant St. and Sheridan
St.; and the construction of curb extensions at each intersection to reduce crossing distances. The project also
includes clearing and grubbing, roadway excavation, temporary erosion control, stormwater conveyance installation,
minor retaining walls, utility adjustments, curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveways, hot mix asphalt paving, pavement
markings, temporary traffic control, permanent signing and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract
Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.
Bid Date: Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Port Townsend, at the City Clerk's Office located at City of Port
Townsend, 250 Madison St., Suite 2, Port Townsend, WA 98368 until 2:OOpm on May 14,2015.
Each proposal shall be in a sealed envelope with the outside clearly marked with the Bid opening date and time, the
project name and number as it appears in this advertisement,and the name and address of the Bidder.
Any Bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered.The City of Port Townsend may consider non-
responsive and Bid not prepared and submitted with provisions hereof. Faxed Bids will not be accepted.
The City of Port Townsend reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waiver informalities in the Bidding.
Bid Documents: Plans, specifications, addenda, and plan holders list for this project will be available on-line through
Builders Exchange of Washington, Inc. by going to www.bxwa.com. Click on "Posted Projects'; "Public Works", "City
of Port Townsend", "Projects Bidding", and "Project Bid Date". Bidders must "Register as a Bidder", in order to
receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to be placed on the "Bidders List". This service is
provided free of charge to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors bidding this project. Please contact Builders

Federal Aid Project: The City of Port Townsend in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252,
42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office
of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued
pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into
