Goal-Setting Information: The customer goal for 2014-2019 is to maintain city-wide per capita daily consumption at or below the 2010-2012 three year rolling average of 91 gallons per capita per day. Customer Goal (Demand Side): WUE Goals: Customer (Demand Side) Goal Progress: Describe Progress in Reaching Goals: Average daily per capita consumption was 95 gallons in 2014 which was the same as 2013. While the goal of maintaining daily consumption at or below the 2010-2012 three year rolling average of 91 gallons per capita per day was not met, Port Townsend’s per capita consumption is significantly below the 115 gpcd average consumption for western Washington communities with populations between 5,000 and 50,000 (2010-2012). With the emphasis on interim watershed control and pilot testing and construction of a new water filtration plant there were limited resources for the level of effort necessary to further reduce customer demand. Additional Information Regarding Supply and Demand Side WUE Efforts Include any other information that describes how you and your customers use water efficiently: Port Townsend has continued a system wide leak detection program and surveyed approximately 2.4 miles of distribution system piping during 2014.
