The Port Townsend City Council will conduct a public hearing on Monday, August 4, 2014, at or
about 6:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, 540 Water Street, Port Townsend, Washington to
accept public testimony on a proposed update to the City's Water System Plan. The update
reflects those changes made to the City's water system since it was last updated in August 2008.
This update is required by the Washington State Department of Health. The Water System Plan
is a functional plan intended to implement the Comprehensive Plan. The purpose of this update is
to:
• Provide basic planning data for population and service connections, identify major water
users, and update information on water consumption.
• Provide system capacity analysis identifying the limiting factors for the system and
summarize system hydraulic capacity.
• Provide a Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for the next three years.
• Provide a three year budget with impact of projects identified in the CIP and summary of
the rate structure.
Persons wishing to testify may do so either by submitting oral testimony during the public
hearing or by submitting written comments at the hearing or to the City Clerk, City of Port
Townsend, 250 Madison Street, Suite 2, Port Townsend, Washington 98368
(j sanders o,cityofpt.us). Written comments submitted to the Clerk must be received by the close
of the Public Hearing on August 4. The Water System Plan is available for inspection in the City
Clerk's office on the second floor of City Hall and can also be found on the City's website at
www.cityofpt.us.
