Goal-Setting Information: The customer goal for 2014-2019 is to maintain city-wide per capita daily consumption at or below the 2010-2012 three year rolling average of 91 gallons per capita per day. Customer Goal (Demand Side): WUE Goals: Customer (Demand Side) Goal Progress: Describe Progress in Reaching Goals: The newly established goal of maintaining daily consumption at or below the 2010-2012 three year rolling average of 91 gallons per capita per day is due to the following reasons: • Port Townsend’s per capita consumption is significantly below the 115 gpcd average consumption for western Washington communities with populations between 5,000 and 50,000 (2010-2012). Those communities unaccounted for water for that period was 8.6%. • Due to the improving economy, it is unlikely that consumption will continue to fall as it has for the past several years. • With the emphasis on interim watershed control, pilot testing and completing the construction of the water filtration plant there are limited resources for the level of effort necessary to further reduce customer demand. Additional Information Regarding Supply and Demand Side WUE Efforts Include any other information that describes how you and your customers use water efficiently: Port Townsend has continued the system wide leak detection program, surveying approximately 10 miles of distribution system piping during 2013.
